EVENT: Unlimited Bench Rest Score Shoot

The target image. Join us for a 100 & 200-yard club scored shoot using UBR “equalized scoring system” targets. The event will be held on the "big" range of 40 lanes so there is room for all.

There will be four targets at each yardage. Each target has 6 bullseyes with the dot in the 10-ring scoring 11 points, for a possible 66 points per target, 264 points per yardage, and 528 points possible for grand aggregate yardage.
The targets are equalized and marked .224, .243 and .308 caliber. Each target is sized so the larger calibers have no advantage over the smaller calibers. In other words, the targets are caliber neutral.
This will be a timed event, with 5 minute warm up period at the beginning of the first relay, and then 7 minutes per relay.
There will be classes for factory, factory modified and custom. See rule page for definitions of the equipment. These classes will be shot concurrently.
Shooters are welcome to shoot in one or both yardages, and in multiple firearm classes if so desired.
The time frame to shoot both yardages is estimated to be 5 hours.
UBR rules will apply. Ties will be scored by Creedmore rules. Match Director decisions are final.
Cost is $10.00 per yardage. The payout will be 50/50. We will pay 1^st & 2^nd place for each Grand Aggregate winner.

Holton Unlimited Bench Rest Shoot Rules:

Shooting rules are adapted from UBR website and will apply as shown below.

Course of fire consists of 4 targets per yardage. 6 bullseyes per target. 264 points possible per target.
In the event of a tie Creedmore rules will apply.
Calibers not to exceed 30 caliber.
Targets are sized for .223, .243 & .308 calibers. IE: If your caliber is .204, then you will shoot in the next caliber up (.223).
UBR score shoots are to be a timed event. A warmup period will be added at the beginning of the first relay of up to 5 minutes, with 7 minutes remaining for each target for record. There is no limit on sighters within the 7 minute course of fire.
Each class will run concurrently with other classes. The targets will be marked according to the class you are shooting in.
Scoring to be “best edge”.
A gun can be shot up in class, but not down. Example: a factory gun can shoot in modified or custom, but a custom cannot shoot in factory or modified.
Cross fires shall be reported to the Match Director immediately. Shooting the wrong target is considered a cross fire. Shooters are responsible to ensure they are shooting the correct target. Cross fire penalties will be a one point deduction for each record bull shot. If only the sighter is involved no penalty is incurred.

Factory Class:

Rifles consist of major market manufacturers guns. The barrel must have a proof mark or other marking on the barrel matching it to the action. Stocks can be after-market if the type is normally used in the models manufacture, IE: McMillian stocks. Bedding or bedding blocks are allowed. New crowns are allowed on the factory barrel. Triggers may be tuned or changed out. This includes Sako, Kimber’s, Cooper’s, Savage and other gun makers. Remington 40x with a factory barrel are also considered factory.

Any attachments to stock are restricted to front portion of stock and not to exceed 3” in width,
All guns are to be fired with separate rests front and rear. Max 30 caliber.
Weight limit 13.5 pounds.

Modified Class:

Any factory action that has been modified. This includes rebarreling, restocking, rechambering, etc. Stocks not to exceed 3” in width.
Any attachments to stock are restricted to front portion of stock and not to exceed 3” in width,
All guns are to be fired with separate rests front and rear. Max 30 caliber.
Weight limit 13.5 pounds.

Custom Class:

Stock not to exceed 3” in width. This is the Bench rifles. Kelby’s, Bat’s, Hall, Borden, Stiller’s and all others of this type.

All guns are to be fired with separate rests front and rear. Max 30 caliber.
